Projects
Since its inception, Spirit of Tomorrow has been active in providing projects that participants could work on to learn the techniques and that applied that knowledge to real world problems. The organization has been active in donating equipment to school district. In addition, Spirit of Tomorrow has offered training so schools could learn how to produce their school annual digitally, thus saving money and serving to teach production skills to students that they may have not otherwise had the opportunity to learn.

Participants of the internship program have had the opportunity to work on many different projects. One intern worked to develop a new city logo for with town. The student learned to use a variety of desktop publishing applications including Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Freehand to create a logo that could be applied to a variety of uses, including silk screening, stationary, banners, and other city projects.

Another project allowed students the opportunity to not only learn about new techniques, but also learn about the history of the area. The project involved the students acquiring historic photographs and landmarks of the area.. Once the interns had found appropriate historic photographs, they then began the process of digitizing the images. The goal was to take these photographs and then turn them into digital watercolors. In the project, the students combined the techniques that they learned with elements of preserving history. The interns also were required to research the images and provide a description of the contents of the image. After the students created the digital watercolors, the put the designs onto postcards and worked to market the postcards in the community. Spirit of Tomorrow provided the interns with an opportunity to work on an interesting project that allowed them to produce a product that they could sell and earn money with.
